Orographic Model Display

Hi
As a suggestion to improve the readability of your charrts in orographic terrain e.g. the alps, you could filter out the color display if a wind value lies "inside" a mountain. See here:compared to:
The visibility of the Föhn (Sout-North-Wind in the valleys) would be much more distinctive.

Hi,
You can change yourself the color scale of Wind.
Go to Settings -> Customize color scale.
See for more details:

BTW this color scale showing wind speed has nothing to do with the Orographic Model which is the way how the Weather Model is smoothing the terrain.

Thank you for your answer. Actually I'm happy with the default colorscale, I think you missunderstood me here. All I say is that windy shows me wind values inside a mountain, which is irritating.Example:
This Mountain is 3200m high. And at 750m (AMSL i guess) wind is coming from 320° at 5kmh. This wind blows inside solid rock, wow :)Other apps filter out these values, which is a big plus in my opinion.

@judihui
I see. This is a theoretical value that the model provides at this altitude and which is near to zero.https://community.windy.com/topic/5014/windspeed-and-direction-different-heights?_=1681893800467
In your example:
Filtering these values can probably be done. But why display the wind at 925 hPa (750 m) on a 3200m mountain?

Not exactly!
