Apple Watch radar not updating

I recently installed the Windy app on my Apple Watch Ultra. Loving having that information available on my wrist. However, for the last 4 or 5 days, the radar screen hasn't been updating. The radar image is static (not animated, even though the timeline bar is moving), and the image is almost a week old. I have closed and restarted the app, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and restarted the watch, but nothing has fixed the issue.

Hi @scotdev, which version of the Apple Watch Windy app do you use? You can find it at the bottom of your menu in the app. I checked mine, and it is completely okay, and radar is moving. Also, which location do you have in the radar?

Hi, @Ondřej-Šutera — Sorry about the slow response. I'm running version 37.020524. And, for whatever reason, it started working fine about 3 days ago, and I haven't had any issues since. Not sure what changed, but all is well now. Thanks!

I have the very same issue. I'm also running version 37.020524 on an Apple Watch Ultra.Everything has been working fine until about a week ago.
I have reinstalled the app on the watch and the iPhone. I have restarted the watch. Nothing helped. It is still showing a static, completely outdated radar image while the time indicator is updating.
I could send you a video of this behavior if this is of any help.
I just installed the radar widget on my iPhone and it is showing the very same outdated image as the watch.

I just switched the language in the iPhone settings to English. I‘ve read somewhere that this fixes issues with widgets in iOS 16. And indeed it did!
And it also (partially) fixed the Watch issue. At least the last few frames of the radar are now up to date.Now I’ve switched back to German and I hope it stays fixed.

Hi @quittenkaes, thank you for the confirmation. According to Windy radar on Apple Watch, my colleague fixed that on Friday, so it was probably related to that.
