No, there is no way to download a database from Windy Premium. -
I'm generally happy with Windy but rather than have to figure it out can you tell me if wind directions are true or magnetic. If True, true or magnetic would be a very nice setting to have for boaters.

I use windy (mostly as non-premium) for sail racing. I bought a year of premium but didn't ever use any if its advanced features. None seemed useful to improve it for sail racing. I don't intend to re-new and will look at a more dedicated sailing oriented weather channels.

Wind direction and all directions in Windy are “true”, as all weather app do.

Is it possible (with the premium account) to see the past information? For instance the past temperatures or past wind speed? In other words, is there a repository of the past data that I could collect and download? Thx!

No this is not possible as Windy does not archive past data. -
What about sunset and sunrise scores or predictions if it is expected to have the right conditions?

Is there any way to go back to a text list of weather types instead of the graphical picture icons? Going back to the text list with the little icon symbols would be better and easier to read. The mini screen photos are more confusing and harder to pick out what I want to see..

@Stalker31796 Hi, unfortunately nothing was ever free in the Windy. "Free" just means someone else is buying it for you. Our business model allows almost everything to stay free thanks to people willing to pay for subscription. We found it to be sustainable. Our previous "business model" was such that one sponsor paid for everything. It was not sustainable as the Windy grew rapidly.

@Stalker31796 I agree with your opinion, two important features ( satellite imagery for the outdoor map & observation vs forecast ) have been moved to the paid version recently, that was expected for me; because you ( Windy team ) have done something similar before.

I have a Windy premium account and I can get on my iPhone or windows laptop. I have loaded your app onto my Raymarine Axiom chart plotter ani appears to work. But if I try to logon to through the chart plotter it always returns with an error and try again later. The chart plotter is connected to the internet and other apps work fine but no Windy.
What gives? Please reply to my logon email

Route Planner:
It is a nice idea, it would be a great tool, but having tried it a bunch of times it is kind of like a root canal without the pain killers.
Trying to use the Route Planner to actually plan a sailing route is a pretty frustrating experience.
Please keep working on it, it would be a great feature if it worked.
