I believe what @Bill-Steer is referring to is the plane location service found in Apps like FlightRadar/FlightAware that use ADS-B surveillance of real-time aircraft location (and other flight details).

For the aviation enthusiasts/commercial users, this would be a fantastic feature to add as an overlay for the satellite/radar layer AND useful for forecast times very close to the real-time.

I understand there is a cost required to retrieve ADS-B data in real-time.
