If I'm right, Chopok is located at 1990m. The problem with medium resolution global weather models is that they are not good in mountains, due to their horizontal resolution (7 to 22 km) and to their coarse orography model. This is the reason why, for example, ICON-EU "sees" this place at 1414m. It therefore cannot provide good temperatures forecast for this ski resort.
Sounding forecast by ICON-EU at Chopok (right click on mouse or long press on mobile screen)I see a weather station down in the valley at 1000m (Click Reported temperature). Are you talking about this one?
In no case it can change the forecast of a weather model and none of them are matching with it.
