The optionally embedded spot forecast (&detail=true) is wonderful in many ways.

However, it has one weakness: in regions where winter is typically cold

      • the rainfall forecast is useless
      • a snow forecast would be quite useful

Any way that could be settable and/or automatically adjusted?

@mrpetewx The detailed forecast includes rain and snow forecasts too. What exactly are you missing?

@Korina (again, my apologies for looong delayed reply. Dealing with the passing of a crucial coworker :( )

I never see snow in the embedded forecast. What am I missing?

@mrpetewx It would be displayed in pictograms of the day and the amount of precipitation can reflect this as well.

@Ondřej-Šutera at 7000 ft in Colorado, there is very little relationship between predicted precipitation and predicted snowfall.

@mrpetewx If you want to get info about the snow or any other aspects, I would recommend separate layers, for example Rain accumulation, New snow,...

@mrpetewx No, forecast detail is till the same and it doesn't change with the layer.

@Ondřej-Šutera Is there a place for feature suggestions?

The reason for this thread is that it would be wonderful to have snow forecast in the embed forecast during cold months 🤠

@mrpetewx Hi, I can forward the suggestion to colleagues and we are planning certain updates for this feature. However, I can't promise anything.
