      It would be nice to see total rainfall for past 24 hours.

        Total rainfall during last 24h can only be shown by observed rainfall at weather stations. Weather models don’t report rainfall or any other parameters, they just forecast them.
        And there are not weather stations everywhere.
        Or would you accept that the last 24h rainfall be in fact the last predicted rainfall?
