Ukv model widget
-
@cloudy_ Yes, the UKV will be added to the website very soon, probably today.
-
@Korina Is it only for UK and Ireland? Will there be global one?
-
@cloudy_ UKV is a local model, it covers the UK, Ireland, and parts of western Europe.
-
@Korina globalny nie będzie wprowadzany ? Wiem że Angielska służba meteo posiada globalny model
-
@przemo1986 As mentioned above, UKV is local model, not global.
-
@Korina Are you planning to add UKMO and GEM models?
-
@cloudy_ We are always on the lookout for new forecast models. So yes, we might add them in the future.
-
What does the V in UKV stand for?
UKV does seem to work well for fog and visibility forecasts.

@tdaley
UKV stands for United Kingdom Variable-resolution weather forecasting system.
Windy claims a 2km while the Met Office says 1.5km. May be due to this variable resolution?

@idefix37 Yes, the 2km is average resolution.
