Reported wind arrows in wrong direction

Currently New Zealand is experiencing cyclone Gabriel and while watching this system approach I noticed the reported wind arrows are showing the incorrect wind direction.

No, the direction of reported wind arrows is correct. It displays the clockwise movement of air around cyclones in Southern Hemisphere.
On a weather map the wind arrows show the direction toward the wind is blowing. They don’t point to the direction from where the wind is coming like weather vanes do.
