Re: Historical data
Open earth.nullschool.net click on 'earth' bottom left, URL at top of browser will say 'current' click back arrow once and you will see date at top, replace date and time with date you want to go back to press enter at end of URL. Wind flow will show click video button to stop & start movement. Use mouse wheel to zoom in and out. click on the globe & you will see wind strength & direction & position. to change units click on unit. It uses the USA GFS model, that is also available on Windy. Good for checking on previous weather events like hurricanes. Has Sea Surface Temperatures & anomaly but they are not every day. Check it out, Cameron Beccario @cambecc wrote the app to extract the data from the GFS model, it is open source I think. It only goes back to about 2014 when GFS changed their data output. -
@vibemill Hello, Windy also has its own 3D Globe, you can find it on the desktop in the top right corner "3D".

I don't see any. Is my device defective? Or is it due to internet connection problems?

@larsen-soto
3D is only available on browser version, on desktop / laptop.
It is at top of the list of layers.
