Location not updating on my computer

Hi.
My location persistently comes in for Doncaster, or Sunderland. I actually live in Prestatyn so it is not updating at all. I suppose that i have not allowed it to update positions. How can i change this please. I have Premium membership and use Windy on my laptop and the mobile app on two mobile phones.

Hi @how2b do you mean the default position after accessing Windy or when you click on "Find my location" button? Please let me know.

Have you allowed location access in the browser or in the app? It depends on what browser you are using, but for Chrome:

Either allow it when asked
or press on the Lock icon near the URL > Site Settings
find the Location permission and change it to Allow

(browser location isn't very accurate on desktop computers and if you use a VPN it might show you in different parts of the world)

For mobile app it depends on your device, version etc. More details are needed.

The best way to show Prestatyn as your location on your computer is to set this location as Favorite.

Hi to you all, sorry for the delay in replying

I think i have solved the problem myself
I have gone to settings and scrolled to
' Start up layer and location '

This was set to ' Determine by IP '
I have changed this to
GPS and it puts my location close to home
As i travel, i have not set my location as Prestatyn but see the option is there.

My error and thanks to everyone for their help
