      Hi, I'm new one here a I have problem with Radiosonde plugin. After open it, I can't see any station issuing radiosonde, until switch on Radiosondes in Quick menu. If I chose one of radiosondes stations on the map and by RB select Radiosonde, the plugin page is still empty (see attached picture). Screenshot 2023-03-16 181918.png. Thanks for help Wlado

        Hi @wlado1954, seems like radiosonde plugin doesn't work now. I've contacted the plugin developer to see if it can be fixed again. In the meantime, you can use our internal radiosonde interface. Follow screenshots below to navigate to it.

        More layers... in the bottom right corner

        Then Radiosondes in the right side menu

        Then click on any circle that appear on the map

        And radiosonde measurement with ascent diagram will appear

          @Filip_K Thanks, I hope you're right. The second option is working, I used it from beginning.

            @wlado1954 Unfortunately, the developer behind the radiosonde plugin, @rittels, doesn't have time for further development and fixing. Therefore we removed his plugin, that was great for so many users for so long, from the plugin list.

              @Filip_K said in Radiosonde plugin:

              meantime

              We use this plugin routinely in forecasting activities and at no time today or any other day has this plugin malfunctioned. It was probably some momentary instability that the user checked or did not use correctly. We kindly ask you to return the plugin the way it was, we loaded it through npm package and it's working normally here.

                  @gustavoras @Filip_K

                  thanks for the post....I too am able to load the Radiosonde plugin through npn link and it seems stable to me. It looks like the plugin has lost the link to the observed radiosondes, but I can live with that.

                  Please re-instate (reauthorise) this plugin to the list :)

                    I agree with @stitch, I had lost the ability to view real ascents a while ago, but still use the functionality that it provides for model ascents every day. Please can you reinstate the plugin for that feature alone?

                      Plugin working again!!

                      Sorry I was away for the last few days.

                      @Filip_K suggested removing it from the plugin list, since most of the functionality is now included in the core sounding plugin, and that it appeared to be causing confusion. I agreed.

                      However, I see on npm that the plugin is still downloaded about 200-400 times/week, so there is still some interest!

                      I have some ideas for the plugin, but I have simply been too busy since the beginning of the year. Things will hopefully settle a bit for me in the next few months.

                      I am sure if there are enough votes, @marekd will consider returning it to the plugin menu. In order to avoid confusion, we could perhaps give it a different name??

                      Thank you for using the plugin!!. The credit should go to my friend: @mhaberler, who did all the initial hard work in aggregating the data and writing the backend. @Filip_K then agreed to take over the backend, and @marekd incorporated it in the sounding plugin.

                          @marekd @rittels Any further updates as to when the plug-in will be reinstated?

                            @rittels @marekd

                            @rittels ...use your Radiosonde plugin daily - it is great stuff.

                            Would you/could you upgrade the plugin to allow multiple model traces be displayed within the one window?
                            I have photoshopped a sample image of the concept I had in mind.

                            Windy_skewT_sample.png

                            • Change the T and Td plots to a single color. I think most users of this product know which is which from the plot.
                            • Toggle on/off the model SkewT plot(s) to display
                            • Link the LFC/CCL/TCon lines to one model only - user choice.

                            OR alternatively,

                            • Retain the Blue Td and Red T plots for the model chosen
                            • display the other selected "comparison" models as a single color (say dark grey for both T and Td plots). Give the user the option to display one or more "comparison" models.
                            • when selecting a different model, it replaces the previous model with blue/red Td/T plots and the replaced model reverts to Dark grey.
                            • LFC/CCL etc lines are linked to the main model (blue/red Td/T) plot only .

                            Fingers crossed you are feeling adventurous/motivated and are able to find some spare develoment time. Cheers :)
