      First bug report. Just bought premium, opened radar and saw use of colors on map that have no key visible.

        @kparcell
        I guess you use the mobile app?
        On the browser version, the color scale for Radar layer is available:

        This is not a bug but a development choice as there is almost no room on phone screens.

        Pressing the screen et dragging the map allows you to get the rain rate at a location.

          Thanks idefix37. I'm using a notebook and there is a second range of colors with no key, in addition to the key you mention that is also available in the free version. Here is a screenshot showing both color ranges, with the second one varying from yellow to brown, and from brown to grey-ash

            @kparcell
            OK, these yellowish to brown colors and grey are just showing the previous thunderbolts.

              Thanks for the solution. That makes a tiny bit of romantic sense, which is lost if you don't tell the users. Wind and rain cause actual damage, as does lightning. Showing rain/flood damage and wind damage would be useful, which is data available to Windy as disaster areas. Lightning causes fires, which is data Windy does show. Combining these would be a nice advance. Past thunderbolts? Not so much, which may be why there is no key and no one on Windy knew what I was referring to.

                Sorry Mate but for me your post was not clear. It was not obvious that you were talking about these brown areas.
                Then it is not difficult to find on the community forum the answer to such a question

                  No, seriously, no one had the answer, and still do not. Is there a big untapped market for psychics? If I guess which each color means about "thunderbolts" do I get an invisible prize mate?

                    Hi @kparcell you are right, there is no explanation for this element. However, yellow to brown specter shows the lightning history in the used time scope. So when you have displayed 1 hour in the timeline, these colors are made by all lightning in that hour. The darker the color, the more lightning flashes were in that location during that hour.

                      @Ondřej-Šutera

                      Is there a secret key you are not sharing for a secret reason?

                        @kparcell there is no secret reason or key to hide anything in Windy and I absolutely don't understand your messages. If you need any other help with Windy, I would be glad to help you but there is no space here for any conspiracy theories.

                          All of Windy's Software Engineers missed the bug. When reported at zero charge, all the moderators still missed it. When illustrated with a screenshot, all of Windy's software engineers, and all of Windy's moderators, and Windy's Community Administrator couldn't put Windy back together again -- even after being told word by word that they are crowding the user's screen with a pallet of colors for which there is no explanation: no menu entry and no key to each color. I'm glad to provide my 30 years of web design experience to Windy at no charge. And I don't expect Windy to say thanks, or fix the error, and they have not done either. I just want to satisfy my curiosity about what its up to. Done.
