Background Map Color Change
-
Hey all,
Just wondering if there's an option to change the shade of the background map? As it is, It's like a basic grey, maybe a little bit darker, but I'm more looking for like a darker shade. Almost like a dark-mode map.
I've tried to tinker with the color settings, but that only effects the actual layers & effects rather than the map itself. Was just wondering if there was something I've missed or it isn't a feature yet, or what.
Thanks!

Hi, what do you mean exactly by “shade of background map” ?
The flat shade of gray in some layers is part of the layer colors and can be customized like the other colors (except the layers which cannot be changed like radar or Weather warnings).
For example I modified the gray tint of the Rain layer with a lighter gray, with RGB (130,130,130) instead of RGB (111,111,111) :If you want a darker gray, use RGB (50,50,50). It is easier to do it in the code itself (click view code).

@idefix37 Hey idefix,
I appreciate the reply. Yeah, what you're talking about is what I'm trying to do, but for the weather radar overlay. The closest one to that is the satellite, in which I can change the color darker to my preference. But the Weather Radar selection isn't on the drop-down list that I can see (The one that is able to show lightning, etc).

As I said the colors of the Weather radar layer cannot be customised. And that was not obvious you were talking about this layer in your first post.

@idefix37 Any chance that gets changed in the future? Maybe an option for suggestions?

@Dylan-Simpson, there are no plans to add this possibility at the moment.
