      Dear Windyty SE team,

I would like to start by thanking you for creating such an incredible weather forecasting platform. Windy.com is my go-to source for weather updates, and I am impressed with the level of accuracy and detail it provides.

I am writing to provide feedback on your platform and suggest adding ground temperature to your list of features. Ground temperature can have a significant impact on various aspects of our daily lives, such as farming, construction, and outdoor activities. By including this data in your platform, users like myself would be able to make more informed decisions regarding our daily routines and plans.

I believe that your team has the expertise and resources to add this feature to your platform seamlessly. I am confident that many users would appreciate this addition to your already outstanding weather forecasting platform.

Thank you for considering my suggestion, and I look forward to seeing your continued success.

You are right, the temperature of the soil surface is important for seedlings and the risk of damage to plants by excess temperatures whether they are too low or too high. But personally I doubt that global model predictions for this parameter are accurate enough to be really useful at a field scale. The resolution of the ECMWF model is 9 km and that of GFS is 22 km. The surface temperature cannot be uniform at this scale, especially since it depends on the nature of the soil, its humidity and the vegetation cover.
However, some models provide the temperature just above the surface, also called grass temperature, while others offer ground temperature between 0 and -10cm.
