Cyclone Ilsa strengthens into Category 4

Cyclone Ilsa was the strongest cyclone to hit Australia in 8 years. Ilsa approached the northwest coast as a Category 4 storm with severe winds reaching up to 280 km/h and caused significant damage accompanied by heavy rainfall and flooding.
The cyclone is now weakening and maintains its category 1 status, tropical conditions prevail.
Strong winds, heavy rainfall and flooding, can be expected. Residents should take all necessary precautions.

Extremely powerful cyclone Ilsa has yet again strengthened and approached category 4 status. Lates forecasts show it may intensify into Category 5 before its landfall, which should take place today, in about 12 hours.
Maximum winds are 209 km/h and can potentially increase up to 275 km/h. Winds are expected to be destructive, evacuation centers have already been set up.

Western Australia is preparing for the arrival of cyclone Ilsa, which is currently a category 2 storm with maximum winds of 169 km/h.
Cyclone should arrive in northwestern Australia tomorrow in the evening hours. Intensification is very likely; predictions show possible strengthening to category 3 cyclone upon landfall.
