Future Climate Projections

Have you considered displaying future climate projections. UKCP18 local (freely available) is basically the same model as UKV (2.2km grid) which you already use and so presumably pretty easy to incorporate. It would be really cool to be able to watch animations of the control climate and then the future climate to see how different the storms look (as opposed to just quoting a difference in maximum wind speed). Doubly cool if you could pick a return period for a storm to watch (e.g. 1 in 50 year storm).

@nsmw4
As far as I know these projections are made for the UK.
“The UK Climate Projections (UKCP) is a set of tools and data that shows you how the UK climate may change in the future”
This is interesting for people living there.
Until now Windy provides meteorological data. So, adding climatic data would be a complete change. In addition the aim of Windy is to cover the whole globe, not only one country. -
@idefix37 Hi, I do not know if there is a business model in future climate projections that would make it worthwhile to include (maybe premium users might be interested - I know that some businesses are starting to use them to consider resilience). The reason I made the suggestion is windy.com now incorporates the UKV model forecasts (which only shows the UK, when selected - same for ACCESS). As the UKCP18 covers the same domain and has the same (or almost identical) output and format, I thought it would be very easy for you to include. if you are wanting global coverage, there are a lot of global climate projections (e.g. UKCP18 global, CMIP6 etc) , but these may require more effort to incorporate into Windy.com. I just thought I would alert you to the possibility, again I have no idea if it is worth you while or not.
