Not all 50+ overlays and data are required, at least temperature, winds, precipitation, and possibly a couple more overlays. This feature can be under a Windy Premium paywall since the ERA5 will cost a lot to purchase it's data and also it has 80+ years of extensive amounts of reanalysis weather data to look at.</p>

Reanalysis data from ERA5 is interesting if you compare it with the current forecast. Otherwise it would be just useful for climatology which not the target of Windy.<br />
Comparing the ECMWF forecast with the M-climate re-forecast (EFI) is done in the Extreme weather layer, which is a way to estimate the current weather anomalies.<br />
