      Hi there,

      I'm curious to know what the resolution of Meteoblue is that Windy uses?

      Does Windy use NEMS30 Global from Meteoblue?

      Will Windy be able to visual display Meteoblues forecasts like they do with ECMWF, GFS, ect?

      Thanks again :)

        The Meteoblue model, called Meteoblue AI by this Swiss company, has no resolution because it is not a gridded model.
        In short this model is “averaged” from a dozen of models with different resolutions from 2 to 40 km. Then the result is corrected according to local discrepancies usually observed. So it is only available at point forecast.

        • Will Windy be able to visual display Meteoblue forecasts like they do with ECMWF, GFS, etc …?

        No, for the same reason said above.
        It is the reason why the weather maps in the Meteoblue website are plotted from ICON, NEMS, GFS, NAM, HRRR, IFS 40km, UKMO, MF, GEM, etc…. but NOT from their Meteoblue AI model which is only shown in local meteograms.

        • Does Windy use NEMS30 Global from Meteoblue?

        Windy shows NEMS 4km over Europe. I don’t think you get it elsewhere.

          @idefix37 Thank you :)

          I assume Windy uses NEMS30 (directly or indirectly from Meteoblue) for outside Europe (Globally).

            I don’t see NEMS30 used be Windy outside Europe.
            For instance there are 4 models used by Windy over Australia : ECMWF, GFS, ICON13 and ACCESS, but not NEMS30.

            At same location Meteoblue computes its consensus model from these models:

            Windy does not get from Meteoblue the individual data from each of these 8 models, only the enhanced average.
            Otherwise you could say that Windy uses GEM and ARPEGE too !

            Note that ECMWF model is the free version with 40km (0.5°) resolution named “WMO essentials”

              @idefix37 So just to confirm, Windy can't display NEMSGlobal30 dataset like what is displayed on the Meteoblue website?

                It is what I said. Meteoblue provides MEMS 30 over Australia.
                Do you mean you would like to see this model in Windy for the same area?

                  @idefix37 Yes please, I’d like to see the visual display of NEMS30 (instead of the ensemble data) like it’s displayed in the screenshot I attached?

                    What do you mean with ensemble data ? Windy does not provide ensemble data.

                      @idefix37 Sorry, I meant instead of showing Meteoblues model data in the detail section panel, I’d like to also see it visually displayed on the map.

                        @anthony10

                        You mean displaying Meteoblue model data in the map?
                        As said above this model is a non-gridded model. Therefore it is not possible to show its data as a map.
                        And this is the reason why in the Meteoblue website that you show above, you don’t find a weather map from their own Meteoblue model !
                        Its data is only available as a point forecast.
