Hi, I wanted to write to you to ask if it is possible to add the velocity mod as a new function in the radar, which allows you to effectively understand if a tornado is forming.

@Matteo-Caruso What exactly do you have on your mind? Can you provide further details about this mod?

@Ondřej-Šutera this is what is requested:
          https://www.weather.gov/jetstream/vel

It shows corrected Doppler velocities, so that it is possible to locate rotating wind areas on a small scale.

Right now, we all have to watch these when there are tornadoes in the US. It would be great to not only have this info layer, but if you went just a step further with some ML, you could autodetect likely areas where a tornado is either on the ground, or likely to form.
This would be amazing! It may also save lives, if done right. If you made a beta version, I think a number of us would use it. (I keep looking for it in the app, which is why I'm here 😃)

There's a whole community based around this concept in the US called storm chasers, or tornado hunters...

          Cheers, and thanks!
