      Would be great to have a layer with slightly higher-resolution satellite imagery that is updated at least once a week. Useful for assessing snow on the ground, extent of forest fire damage etc.

      Sentinel-2 data is available through an API, plus they have a basic interface for viewing imagery at https://www.sentinel-hub.com/explore/.

        @ejain thank you for your feedback according to our base map. However, we use this type of map only as a background and you should use different layers to get information about snow (New snow and Snow depth).

          In theory, maybe. In practice, the snow depth overlay is very coarse-grained and very approximate: The area pictured above for example is snow free according to the snow depth overlay, but it's not.
