      Hello,

I want to ask what is difference between the Annual subscription and buying for one year without any commitment.

Can you please also let me know what are your sources of data for ECMWF, GFS, HRRR, and NAM? I can see that except for ECMWF all the other models use NOAA data. How frequently do you scrape that data from these sources, and if we subscribe we will get hourly weather data instead of 3 hours right?

Hi @Yadvendar-Singh, annual subscription has auto-renewal turned on. One-year is purchase, not subscription, for only a year without any auto-renewal.

According to data, we get all models directly and officially from their providers, and they are standardly updated 4 times per day in the Premium version. You will get hourly step in the forecast, instead of 3h steps in the free version.

          Hey Ondřej Šutera,

Thanks for the explanation. So if I buy a One-year purchase, I have to renew it manually right ?? And each time I renew do I need to update my API key or something? What is the benefit of the annual subscription, if you can tell me that would be really helpful.

So every 6 hours we will get the updates right?

We are interested in North American weather forecasting, based on your experience which model is the best fit for that region specifically?

Is there any limitation on how many times we can hit the API?

Hi @Yadvendar-Singh, I am sorry for the delay. Do we talk about purchasing our Professional API or Premium subscription?

Premium subscription has two plans. Annual one and for a year without auto-renewal. But the API access is for €990 per year and it is automatically renewed.

                Thanks @Ondřej-Šutera,

This is really helpful, Premium subscription doesn't come with API access. If we get the API access do we also get the benefits of a premium subscription?

One more question is how are you interpolating 3 hours weather forecast to 1-hour forecast. Are you doing it using models and stuff or this is straight-up interpolation without any internal modeling?

@Yadvendar-Singh as you said, those two accesses have their own subscriptions. And you don't receive the second one with purchase the first.

According to the change of the forecast step, we get hourly data from certain models, so there is no interpolation on our own. I hope my answers help.

@Ondřej-Šutera Hey, thanks for the explanation.
let's say I do the annual subscription for 18,99 a year. What happens if I decide after 11 months to cancel? Can I do this? How ?

I don't mind subscribing for a few years, as a gliderpilot I love the ICON_D2 model, but, I just need to know how/if I can cancel after 11 months, or 11 years.. and how to..

Also, IF I would cancel after 11 months, are there hidden charges ?

I've seen a lot of confusion about the two options, so am I. :)

                    Just Glide...

@MikeHill You can cancel that anytime by turning the auto-renewal off.
