Format changed???
-
I do not like this new format! Can I have a legacy version?
If it stays like this I'm going to cancel my subscription. -
@Nevermeggs which device do you use? Does it have a touchable display? Could you please provide any technical specifications of your HW?
@eos550 Change of altitude in the Windy layer should be possible in all versions of Windy
@murfnsb unfortunately, we don't provide any support of the old version.
-
Can someone explain the changes and why it's supposed to be better? It's now almost unuseable...
-
@murfnsb - I agree. The lack of ability to manually advance the timeline and having to SLOWLY play it to see how the forecast is changing is a deal-breaker for me. I do not know what the product team was thinking, I really hope they restore this functionality as soon as possible.
-
@Ondřej-Šutera - I am using a laptop that does have a touchscreen but I never use it. I use much bigger screens that do not support touch. I should be able to use my mouse to advance the timeline, this is ridiculous!
-
@Nevermeggs try pressing the right/left buttons on your keyboard.
-
@ikurtev When I use windy on non touch screen (move browser window to non touch screen and reload page) I get more or less old UI. When I move it back to laptop screen that has touch and reload, I get mobile UI that is very difficult to use on laptop

I don't like this version. Same as the app. KMLs are very important to me to do my job. Severely degrades the usefulness of this website.

In regard to the "my location" indicator, is it possible to just get the small blue dot back? I am a regional contractor and when I zoom out to get a sense of how the rain cells are developing the new dot with arrow actually obliterates a large part of some areas. I prefer not to have to keep zooming in and zooming out to get the perspective that I need. The single little blue dot was perfect. Thank you.

Hi, on the PC and can't skip ahead for cloud forecast now. Can only run through the play mode which takes a long time
-
hej.
Different subject but has to do as well with the new update.
None of the plugins are working anymore :(
Please fix that or roll back to the version before the update.

I am using a Windows 10 laptop with a touch screen, but I use a large monitor without a touch screen. The new user interface is virtually unusable on my system. I can scroll through the days by repeatedly hitting the arrow keys, but there is no indication of what day and time that I am on. I cannot use the mouse to move the day/time display. There are many other issues to numerous to list. I recommend you roll back to the previous version.

Hi, we are sorry about this issue in the desktop version, where the design for mobile platforms shows up mainly for all devices with the touch display. Our colleagues are working on a fix right now.
In general, the desktop version is mainly same as the previous one, so you don't have to worry about the version that you see right now. I am really sorry about any inconvenience right now.
-
@damanyou According to the plugins, external developers of these plugins were informed that they need to adjust their code, so all plugins can work in a new interface. However, we couldn't wait that long so we decided to release the new version earlier and they should manage it soon.
-
@betacephei Can you please specify, with the screenshot, what exactly you mean? I would like to forward your feedback to colleagues for consideration, so I would appreciate the screenshot for better visualization.
-
Hi ppl, please return the desktop version to as it was or please please give us a legacy version we can use !!!!! This really sucks!! PLEASEEEEE!
-
This issue seems to have been addressed today, the UI on my laptop again allows me to advance the timeline. Very quick and effective response, I appreciate that!
-
I have canceled my subscription because the new update is totally unusable crap. Are the premium accounts now just beta testers who are paying for the privilege?
-
My desktop version is back! Thank you!

@Ondřej-Šutera I am unable since the format has been changed back to the older version. I do have an update to add. I was able to find the "find my location" in the new version that gave me the "little blue dot." However, I never did figure out how to get the rather large "dot and arrow" locater from popping up when I did not want it to. BTW, I have both the windows 10 and 11 browsers on multiple computers and both have reverted to the old version.
