Re: Arrow with "mph" and direction?This has just happened to me, flag and wind direction missing in basic view on desktop (see white dot mid screen in the image, it used to be a flag and wind direction/wave height number). Please replace it or advise me what to do, I am using same settings as before so assume there has been a change at your end.

Hi @Chris-Chapel, do you mean this flag with windy speed?
You have turned on forecast detail at the bottom of the app. In that case, there is only circular point that shows the location, which is shown in that detail. To get this picker, shown in my screenshot, you need to close the forecast detail.

@Ondřej-Šutera Thanks but I cannot find a forecast detail button at the bottom. This is on a desktop with free version. Does forecast detail have another name perhaps?

@Chris-Chapel If you want to use picker, which is displayed in my first screenshot, you need to close this detail.

@Ondřej-Šutera Thank you. The flag/picker does appear if I click a location on the map (with forecast detail closed with X button.) But when there is a location in the text box (upper left), the forecast detail reappears and there is no flag/picker. Until today, the flag/picker was always visible with location in the text box and forecast detail open.

@Ondřej-Šutera has something changed id like the old windy can display both weather picker and detail forecast at the same time it was very helpful and can the weather picker be 1 hour update?

@Bacolod-Drrmo Yes, we released a new version of our browser version that changed this probably. I will discuss it with colleagues.

@Ondřej-Šutera Thank you so much. The flag/picker was a great feature which gave me lots of info at a glance. BTW we have found Windy's forecasts are more accurate than the official New Zealand weather sources!

@Chris-Chapel @damienhays @bbrust I compared the previous version with the new one and discussed it with colleagues and it is completely same now. If you want to move the picker to get the detailed forecast. You need to do a right click on the map and click on "Show weather picker" to get the picker with the forecast. Here is the screenshot from the latest version:

@Ondřej-Šutera Thank you for the effort but it is not the same for me. Yes the picker/flag appears when I right click and select it but the flag does not follow the map as I change locations - I usually compare 2 or 3 sites for wind and waves. Note in the image, the flag is well away from the white dot. So, almost useable, but not the same as before.

Hi, I’m using the app on my iPad and I do not get the flicker either, regardless whether I have the forecast detail at the bottom or not. Some of the answers posted here say to “right click” which of course you cannot do on a mobile device….has this flicker been restored yet for the iPad and mobile phone version as it is crazy to remove that functionality, surely.

What do you mean with “flicker”? It is the weather picker with a small flag shape?
Yes, it has been removed from the app for iPad and phone. It’s really a pity ! Now when you press the screen at a precise location you get a crosshairs and you need to move the map under it and read the value in top left corner of screen ! -
@idefix37 I also deeply miss the flag on iPad and Android phone. I really dislike the crosshair, which does not hold station when the map is moved or resized. I really would like the flag returned as an option.
