New Format On PC Terrible

New format is not keyboard/mouse friendly (Or Big Screen TV Friendly)
Appears to be designed for touch screens in a portrait mode, not landscape.
The elements are so massive very little of the map is left on screen to view.
Very slow and cumbersome to rapidly switch between weather views.
WIll be canceling my subscription (after many many years) if these issues are not resolved.
No need to respond.

I agree! When I go to my Home location I see a zoomed out map. When I try to zoom in the zoom is not centred on my location, and the forecast changed to the new centre!!!!!! Horrible to use.
Using on a Windows PC. -

@David-Polášek-3 Thanks for the Info. If I may suggest, the Windy team should really understand how some their users use this service. I understand there is a T&Cs etc exempting responsibility, however many Government EOCs and Businesses use this service in tactical manor (to augment their other data) where desktop usage is the principle method of use. I would gladly pay for a commercial style subscription where PC usage is optimized/maintained and any updates are reviewed and tested before being rolled out. Many Prosumers fall into this category also.

@David-Polášek-3 I have spent a bit of time to try to see exactly what the problem is for me.
- The scale of the map on opening is too small on opening the page. If it was set to something further in as on earlier version please.
- The zoom works, it is when I drag the map at all that it closes my forecast and goes to the picker. If the picker only came on when I clicked on the map please.

now i cant. Honestly as captain, for the long time i was proud of you
and Windy application- even explaining junior officers that is worth taking premium. New one cant do that.
Pls give us back old version - due to many many reasons.

Just this contract with Windy and personal STARLINK antena i did approx 29000 Nautical Miles. Wrgds from / near Ponta Delgada, where is really bad weather, and fyi with old version i sucedded to make STORM weather avoidance- with new one i will not be able to do so..... -

Yes, this new format stinks. Much harder to navigate (on PC). Can no longer easily specify a target location by just moving the cursor/dot to it. How does one access weather forecast details. Many other navigation tools that used to be intuitive and EASY TO ACCESS seen now problematic to find.
PLEASE, AT LEAST GIVE US THE OPTION OF GOING BACK TO THE OLD FORMAT! -
@ve6pte I agree! It's useless now. A disaster! This is the problem in the software industry - they can never leave well enough alone and must keep changing things. Windy was outstanding before. This is garbage.

I can't use Windy properly on PC.. the new interface is now horrible and only pushes towards using the phone instead

First off, I would like you to offer the option to revert back to the earlier version. It was cleaner and leaner. Secondly, the zoom -in function could not be reversed on my laptop, and all I can do now is stare at big icons.

@PeterG-4, If you think windy website and the things appear too big, try to widen out the website using the Ctrl and scroll your mouse to 75% or 80% rather then 100%, this should be a big help to improving your windy experience. You have a great day.

yeah, the new format totally sucks.
I dont like that you can no longer scroll across the days to a desired point and have to wait for the slow ass scroll
roll it back and skip this downgrade -
New format is horrible, as a hot air balloon ride operator I use the wind data all the time. Now If I want to get wind forecast for a certain day and time I now have to wait for the timeline to very slowly, and I mean very very slowly where as I use to be able to just drag the timeline indicator to where I wanted it. Please fix this. If it isn't broke don't break it.

Hi, we are sorry about this issue in the desktop version, where the design for mobile platforms show up mainly for all devices with the touch display. Our colleagues are working on a fix right now.
In general, the desktop version is mainly same as the previous one, so you don't have to worry about the version that you see right now. I am really sorry about any inconvenience right now.
To visualize our desktop design, here is the screenshot, how the desktop should look like now. So if you see anything else, anything strange, it is a bug and we are working on fix right now.:
