total lack of accuracy for wx

I use the premium version here in Manitoba, Canada as an aid when flying our scheds up the east side of Lake Winnipeg to the communities of Little Grand Rapids (CZGR), Berens River(CYBV) and Poplar River(CZNG). These communities have little or no official weather reporting in place. The ceilings and visibility shown are rarely even close to what is actually happening with actuals generally being significantly worse than what Windy shows.
Whatever algorithm Windy uses needs some serious tweaking!

@BBowles Windy visualizes various available guidance models. Your issues are with the models, not with Windy.
My suggestion is to get familiar with the Radiosonde ascents coming out of The Pas and also METARs from The Pas, Grand Rapids, and Berens River to give you an idea of current conditions. The Pas even has TAF's that come out as a bit of a forecast for you from the airport.
Enable the "Airports" layer to get some circles - indicating locations of airports and if it has an AWOS then it'll show VFR, MVFR, LIFR, and IFR status as coloured circles
Enable the "Radiosondes" layer to get locations of the available radiosondes. The premium version will be better than the free version because the models are updated more frequently...but it's still a computer model....nothing beats the actuals from the Radiosondes and METARs.
