@Korina Hello I tend to trust more the GFS and météo blue model.
The fact that we can easily compare the different model is great feature. Thanks for that! Nice cap by the way...

@Korina ECWMF works good for me in central Germany - occasionally I take a look at the comparison. 👍🙂

@Korina On the east coast of Australia, at least between Hobart and Sydney, the ECMWF consistently underestimates the wind speed (being used for sailing) by 5 to 10 knots. This is a large discrepancy for a sailboat. The Access 12 model does a much better job.

Here in southern Finland I use ECMWF and it seems pretty accurate. Thanks for the great app!

ECMWF for winds and lower levels data below 850mb.
GFS for upper levels. This combo works very well in India-Pakistan region.

UKV for short range and ECMWF for long rage.

@Kdorina Dobrý den. Nejvíce používám odrazy radarů a jelikož jsem z Čech tak nejvíce používám CHAMU nebo Windy jen škoda že to je čím dál víc okleštěné.

@Korina In Germany I use ICON-D2 which fits very good. But very often I also use the compare function to check, if one of the other models has different predictions.

I rely mostly on the "compare forecasts" feature to check what predictions models agree on and this works quite well. I think ECMWF is my favourite, depends on the region. However, nothing beats actually looking at the radar and satellite imagery to get a feel for what's happening in the next couple of hours :)

Mostly ECMWF. ICON for reference. Used for Adriatic Sea.

Northern Italy, Adriatic sea: Icon proved to be the most accurate 99% of times.

Hi there, fellow Windymen and women!
I'm living by the Adriatic Coast and working mostly around Central/Eastern Europe, including the Alps. As a filming industry professional I rely heavily upon my Windy Premium, from day to day, sometimes even hour to hour, as well.
Most of the time I compare the two models: ECMWF and ICON D2, favoring one depending on the area I am at.
If I would have to give crude statistics and decide on which one I use the most, that would be ECMWF.
Thank you Windy for being there, and keep up the good work!
                                    All the best

We use Icon EU for forecasting sailing conditions in the Med. We will double check NEMS the on the day.

I have been using the UKV model since it’s introduction and have found it very reliable in the Bristol Channel
Prior to that I mainly use ECMWF or GFS

Keep up the great work 🌧️🛥
