I love to watch all wind models simultaneously in the map with their direction tags. It gives me the brief overview over the range I can expect. Than I usually tend to check ECMWF and later the nature shows who is the today winner of everyday forecast efforts. Thanks to all who put their efforts into this never ending story :)

In Vancouver Canada I use ECMWF for boating in the Georgia Straight. Need high resolution.

ECMWF associated to Arome is the perfect combo for south of France.

For me in Germany in the south in Bavaria MBLUE looks more accurate then the others. I am using windy for sailing and the wind prediction is very important for me. Usually I am mediating between the models and some time I am using Gauss, eliminate the extremes and then mediate the remaining.

In Michigan, I like ECMWF and often compare to HRRR and NAM.

Is that in Europe? GFS should not have much use here any more. The resolution of GFS is much lower and ECMWF also has long time prediction.

I live in the Ventura area of Southern California below Point Conception. GSF wind speed and direction there gives valuable information for local sailboat racing.

Has Wendy ever considered adding Jet Stream information. Most of us want learn forecasting and Windy is a grate teacher. Thanks, Michael Gram

I use Access but get annoyed that it doesn't stay as my default as I find the other models are quite often not accurate for Brisbane.
