@Korina As Alpinist I use the Meteoblue, good for 'complex terrains' as you said in the video

I use the default because I don’t really know WTH I’m looking at! Lol! I’ve used the compare feature before and could see the benefits for the ‘other-than-novice’ users. I primarily use the the weather radar, which is second-to-none.

@Korina ECMWF is a good addition to the “old”
          Models GFS and ICON.
local forecasts I have less experience with.

I dive along the central and Southern California coast. ECM gives the best swell forecast. GSM gives the best surface weather forecast. Need both to determine good diving conditions.

@Korina I use the NAM for winter months in the inner Mountain West/ Rocky Mountain Region. ECMWF in the summer for a broad view of events, than switch to HRRR for the specifcs of that days flight. I do like the resolution of the anticipated wind values better in HRRR than ECMWF, but nothing beats the morning radiosonde!

              Pilots love Windy.com !
              Thanks for the great app.

Hi! I find that ECMWF is the most accurate in my areas. Still, I like to compare the various models! 🧢 💦

@Korina Here in Ireland I find the ECMWF model to be most accurate.

I use ECMWF and GFS also does great for the northern and upper parts of my country Pakistan. ECMWF all the way where I live in Sialkot City.

I mainly rely on the ICON-D2 weather. But most of the time I’m using the weather radar and satellite views.

@Korina In Belgium I mainly use ECMWF because it is the most accurate from my experiences, but I often compare with GFS for more in depth info.

I mostly check ICON and ECMWF for Germany, ICON seems to be more detailed, e.g. for amount of precipitation.

I am frequently sailing in Croatia. I prefer the ECMWF. It appears to be a very reliable forecast model. Just now I experience the precise prognosis, helping a lot in planing the trips.

In Southern Spain for Paragliding, we rely most on the ICON eu.
Usually always shows the stronger conditions in comparison with the others, but that is what makes it localized enough for us to decide what to do on any given day.

@Korina Out here in Boston I'll often use the comparative model screen when my fiance and I are making our weekend plans. I'm usually looking at GFS, but I'll be honest, ECMWF seems to be able to forecast rain correctly much farther out than the others. I have to subdue my fiance's groan of forecasted rain by saying, "...but that's just the European model!!!"

                                          Cheers!

I use the ECMWF in conjunction with GFS for SW Va for short term forecasting. The ECMWF is pretty accurate! NOAA needs work 😆.
