      Visibility is currently less than 1 mile in smoke, yet Windy is showing clear skies and unlimited visibility. The smoke is currently blanketing a large portion of Quebec due to forest fires.

        @bushav8r You're looking for something like the PM2.5 layer under the "Air Quality" layers. In Quebec, it's using the CAMS atmospheric composition model. This will give you an idea of smoke conditions. Also, any METARs will give you a report of smoke or haze conditions at an airport.

          @bushav8r

          2.5 should give you a good view of the smocked areas.
          As this is satellite data, note that this layer is not updated in real time when a fire breaks out.

          The weather model which forecast the cloudiness cannot forecast wildfires.

            @bushav8r Same here in Montréal, this Sunday June 25. IQ Air reports 137 2.5mg but Windy only 32. My faith in Windy has gone up on smoke...

              There are big differences between air quality stations. Those from Purple air display very high PM 2.5 values near 200 μg/m3. The others very low… a bit weird.

              EDIT This morning the non Purple air stations shows now much higher PM 2.5 values. Due to a late update ?
