      Folks,

I was checking Windy before going out on a bike ride, when I noticed this very odd weather pattern over Utah/Nevada (Dropbox to screen capture video). I tried to see if I could find the same phenomenon on other sites (Wunderground, Accuweather) to no avail. Any thoughts? Is this a bug of some sort?

@cscyphers In case it's not clear in the video (not sure why it's washed out to white instead of the normal grey), this was captured on 06/21/23 on or about 1930 GMT

          Hi,

This is caused by radar interference which can be linked to different factors, See similar cases:

Thanks for the explanation. That certainly clears up things.

Because from what I know of California, with its arid, subtropical climate, that’s exactly what you would think about weather, that it’s consistent and predictable, and generally, summer all year round.

The rest of the world that isn’t California in particular, or arid and subtropical, with a gentle ocean breeze cooling things down, experiences weather that is even more extreme and unpredictable than Utah.

I come from the interior of Northern British Columbia, where not only do they fully experience all four seasons (-30 in winter, +30 in summer, etc), but on any given day in spring, you should fully expect to experience them all in one day, or you are a fool.

Then you're pretty ignorant about California, because you seem to think that Los Angeles = California. Visit the Sierra Nevada or even Sacramento and lemme know how that "summer all year" is going.
