      How do I recognise a Trough on the animated graphic
      I see them on a synoptic chart but don’t know how they will appear on Windy
      Thank you

        @Medea

        A trough is an elongated area of relatively low pressure extending from the center of a region of low pressure.
        To identify a trough, select Pressure layer and turn on Pressure isolines (isobars). Here is an example in Windy of Pressure layer with customised colors.

            @idefix37 so the trough is not marked on windy but identified by the elongated nature of the pressure line?

            What about warm / cold front ?
            Thanks

              Fronts are not shown in Windy because they are not plotted by weather models but by meteorologists.
