@ArendvanE same here. Temperature indication stopped update automatically in the widget. It only updates if I remove and add again the widget. I use a Motorola with Android 12 and Windy 39.1.1

@Korina is there any chance it gets fixed? Had to remove Windy app as always have Updating widget in status bar even without any widget added to any screen. Windy version was the latest one available in google play, not sure which one. Can you please let me know when I can install Windy back on my phone?

@ArendvanE Did you remove na add the widget back with an update? We made a lot of changes with the version 39 and the last update as well. Also it is necessary to check all settings about batter usage, auto updates, etc.

@ArendvanE Do you have same setup for permissions of Windy, as well as the same battery usage?

@ArendvanE I mean same settings (auto-update, permissions, same battery usage,...), it doesn't have anything to do with the version of app.

My app updated to 39.1.4 yesterday, and the widgets are behaving strangely. The app itself seems to be working fine. Samsung One UI 4.0 (Android 12).

At first, widget was black/empty as in this topic's opening post. I've tried removing and adding the widget back, and got a single day displayed:

                                Screenshot_20230717-160919_One UI Home.jpg

After a few hours, it was showing the five days as usual, but with a red circle arrow (meaning it's refreshing) instead of the icon on the top left corner. There's definitely something wrong there...

Edit: I've restarted the phone and got a blank widget again:

Windy was updated today, july17. After this, the widget I use stopped working. Re-installibg the app helps only to install a new widget, but it looks very different from the widget preview!Screenshot_2023-07-17-22-41-23-15_b783bf344239542886fee7b48fa4b892.jpg

After a discussion with colleagues, here are the instructions how to restart widget after the update. It is necessary especially now, when the update get a lot of changes in almost everything.

                                          1. Remove all widgets
                                          2. Open windy application settings
                                          3. allow Notifications
                                          4. Go to Permissions - enable location (Allow all the time)
                                          5. Go to Battery - allow unrestricted battery usage
                                          6. add new widget

If the widget does not show correctly after the first update refresh the widget manually
Also if these steps won't help, please try to reinstall the app and try the process again.

@Ondřej-Šutera I have done all this, but I am afraid the temperature still isn't updating in the widget.
