      @AeroZ
      It is very likely a radar near Riga, at the airport.
      But I checked 6 or 7 weather radar apps and they don’t show these interferences.
      Does it means they are able to filter them from the raw data ?

        @idefix37 yeah, I don’t see that interference with any other app. It’s annoying because it goes right over my home and covers up real rain.

          @idefix37 is there a way to contact Windy team instead of chatting in the forums? I’d really like to get this interference somehow filtered out from the app. I’m basically only using radar with the app but this interference that covers my location constantly is really annoying.

            The forum is the only way to contact Windy team members. They are here during office hours CEST time. So next time on Monday.

              @AeroZ Another way, how to contact us, is by email at support[@]windy.com. I will discuss this radar interferences with our colleagues and let you know about the potential result.

                @AeroZ According to the topic, these interferences are standard for radar images. The good thing is that our colleagues are working on certain improvements, so it is possible that it will be filtered in the future.

                  @Ondřej-Šutera thanks. Hopefully a solution will be found.

                      @AeroZ I discussed it with colleagues and it hopefully will be in the version 41, which is next in our plans.

                        @Suty Looks like it’s still not fixed.

                          @AeroZ
                          As explained here above, this is interferences by WiFi sources.
                          You said that some apps don’t show these interferences. This is because they don’t show REAL WEATHER RADAR data. They show a radar-like picture that is computed from some satellite data.
                          Is it possible to check that an app show really weather radar data ?
                          These radar-like pictures show rain over the oceans where there are obviously NO RADAR offshore.

                          Windy cannot fix it. This glitch should by fixed by the Latvian Weather Center or at better by the Agency controlling the radio frequencies in Latvia

                              It is not the WiFi sources themself which produce these long spikes, this occurs when the frequency of these sources is the same as radar frequency (using the same channel). So the radar sees an echo.
                              Did you check the link in my previous post?

                              By the way are you able to show us the native radar pictures provided by the Latvian Meteorology Center ?

                                @idefix37 i’d have to try and find it. I don’t live in Latvia. It just looks like Latvian radar is closer to my location than the Estonian one (up north I think).

                                    Again, since you seem not convinced that WiFi interferences with weather radar can cover such big area, please check this link
                                    interferences by WiFi sources.

                                      @idefix37 I’m not saying that I’m not convinced. I’m just surprised that it’s wifi.
