It's not new. Temperature under town names is the default setting. If you want to see wind speed and arrow you need to turn on Forecasted weather

Yes wind layer is selected, the map shows the animated wind lines and direction but next to each town etc it is displaying the temperature, however I can see the wind speed in the drop down panel at top left of screen, I am assuming this is the latest version of the app
