Sailing weather routing

I found the wind direction in weather routing confusing. It does not appear to reflect true wind direction. Nor direction relative to direction of travel. Is this a bug issue or something I simply don’t understand how to use. As a sailor I need either true wind direction (ie where wind is coming from) or wind relative to my direction of travel.

If you speak about the new Route planner feature in the mobile app, it seems you are right.

On iPad, the wind direction in the meteogram is different to that in the map.

On website, the wind direction in the meteogram is correct:

@idefix37 @nigel-banks I already forwarded this issue to colleagues to check and fix this. I will keep you posted.

@idefix37 @nigel-banks There is an issue with setup of default wind barbs in the mobile version of Windy. As you can see in the screenshot from the desktop version, you can set three options of wind barbs, however, this is not possible in the mobile version and the default one is Left to right option. That is the reason for this difference.

However, the good thing is that our colleagues already fixed it and it should be solved in the new version.

In the mobile app without the website options, the default setting must be North up.
