Apple Watch windy app crashes

The windy app is not loading and then crashes on my Apple watch ultra.
It crashes no matter how it’s opened. Either from the main application or from a complication.
I removed and reinstalled the app with little effect.
I have all the latest updates on my iPhone and watch. In the past (last couple of months) it has been generally a glitchy experience trying to use the app on the watch. Only working sometimes. -
