Forecast ribbon disappears after looking at location for3cast

If you click away from the main page of the app then when you return to the main page the forecast ribbon is gone. One has to restart the app to get the forecast ribbon back at the foot of the page. This is on Android on Samsung tablet and on Pixel phone.

Stripes to reproduce:

1. Open app.
   2..view forecast for a location.
   3..click the device back button
