The new ui is much harder to use. You have to sort through a forest of pictures. The readings for a site only display for a moment before disappearing.

The best way is to select one of layers shown as text in this screenshot. It displays a limited related gallery of layers.
Then concerning the display duration of the picker, you need to change it in Settings

Im having to agree, pictures aren't useful to me, I am 33 not 3, I like a compact list of words vs what it would look like.

@Ondřej-Šutera I don't think you need further details; you probably know very well what has changed (and exactly what all of us users have started to complain about).
But allow me to elaborate. The previous user interface in app was good. The new one is not good. I understand there are many changes made in the UI in the latest update, but (as many users have complained about) the overall usability of the app is worse. To be very specific, the layer picker with images instead of text is way more confusing and difficult to use compared to text. On a phone, with limited space, a more compact text representation allows a better overview.
I just recently started a premium subscription. I will end that unless there is an option to use text link for layer picker instead of the images.
