Frequent wildly wrong wind forecasts for Lake Tahoe

why are Windy forecasts for the current day so wildly incorrect at many times for Lake Tahoe? Today it forecast winds of 20 mph+ with higher gusts starting at 11am, and it has not blown haefer tan 6 mph as of 3pm? This problem is not infrequent, and makes reliance for boating fairly useless.

Which weather model do you use in Windy for this area?
I hope you are not looking only at the default model.
Have you tried the other ones?
