Readability of UI is worse now

I use Windy mainly for local weather forecast (should I bike to work or take the bus use case). The update puts the temperature in white font on a light beige background - not readable. Other lines are dark gray font on black background. So far I have not found an option to set the theme back to a readable design. Did the UI designer develop vision acuity or color perception tests before they worked for Windy?
The temperature curve may look cute now, but I would prefer if I could actually read the values. -
