Great work on all the improvements.
I would like to know if there is a way of setting the maximum level shown in VFR mode? It seems to be set at FL 100. Can it be set to something higher?
Is there a way of deleting a waypoint in the route without having to delete everything? -
@mpirbay
Yes tap the waypoint and press the small cross.

@David-Polášek Could there be an option for those of us who are too used to the original UI so we could switch back to it if we wanted?

owners of PWS are forgotten again !!

I use windy since years, it was the best wind app available.
Now a terrible update indeed:
Terrible new crosshair / location picker. I want to be able to zoom to a specific region and then tap on different locations to see the specific forecast for those locations. Before the update this was easily possible. I DO NOT want to be forced to move the map to see the forecast for a different location. I DO NOT want the map to auto-scroll, when I select a new location via "forecast for this location".
Stupid new layer list. Why show "some colorful thumbnails" that require lots of screen space instead of a compact, informative list of available layers as before.
You developers ruined the user experience that was perfect before. I seriously consider to downgrade to the previous version.
PLEASE provide a legacy mode for the location picker. As it is now, its a huge downgrade in user experience.

@Ftjwinfs thank you for saving my time and writing how sad is new picker.
I don't want app to select new random spot while I'm zooming in/out and still thinking which direction should I go.

@FrancesW this is the best site I know for historical Sounding Data http://weather.uwyo.edu/upperair/sounding.html It is outside the Windy App and takes a few steps to set-up the data request

Thuere is no wind direction on Windy for ipad

Where are the wind dirction on windy for iPad?
-
@ansve
You have to turn on Particles animation in the menu. -
@idefix37 Thanks, that did it. Is it a way to have wind arrows also?
-
Hi David, I really like your app, but have some concerns with regards the new update.
Please see my comment here:

@ansve
No there is no wind arrows in the wind layers. -
Is there a way to see how much rain an area has gotten in the past 24 hours?
-
@dies2much That would be too useful for Windy to focus on
-
So let me tell you a story. I used to use AccuWeather for 5+ years before, they introduced a horrible new UI that is still there years later. Luckily Windy had an app and I switched to it, as I was using it in Desktop mode.
So it is possible I can find another replacement to Windy, because companies that force new, worse UX on users don't deserve my time and money
-
@David-Polášek it s ameizing your app
-
@Ftjwinfs hey don't blame the developers, I'm sure they hated implementing it because a complex UI means complex code and developers don't like doing things in a non-obvious/straightforward way. Someone from design must have pushed this down their throat.
-
You are right, I was inaccurate. I was meaning those guys at Windy, who thought the design decisions for v39 (in particular the location picker) are of any good.
