New UI is cumbersome and glitchy
-
I just wanted to share that I highly dislike the new UI and find it cumbersome to use. The updated app has many glitches and bugs such as the picker not showing up, the timeline completely disappearing, and more.
The way the different layers are presented is difficult to read and quickly find the right layers.
Overall, I'm very disappointed with this previous update and have adjusted my subscription to match my disappointment.
I was hoping to leave my feedback directly, but there is no such way so hehe I am. It was great before. The old saying could apply here; "if it's not broken, don't fix it."

@Mike-Schofield-2 I agree it's rubbish.

@Mike-Schofield-2 @punkpilot Hello, you can set the picker timer in the settings to "always on," and it will stay on the map permanently. More info here.

100% agree, the last update to the UI made the app so much worse. It does hurt eyes and also added stuff that is making it more difficult to use. If it works well, then please don't try to make it better, it has caused so many other apps to stop being pleasant to use...

@artsy Hi, this issue with dark mode negative effects in the forecast detail should be already gone. Can you please update to the latest version and let us know.

@tornadoDoroty Hi, thank you for your feedbacks, according to the automatic closing, you can set this to always on mode in your Windy settings.

I confirm the remark about the timeline disappearing on Android. In certain situations if you hit back (or swipe from the outside of the screen in to do the "back" gesture) the timeline just disappears and there is no apparent way to activate it again. The only workaround I found is to switch to Satellite view which has its own timeline, then switch back to whatever layer you were initially on to bring back the timeline on that layer.
Another bug (?) I noticed with the route planner is that if you type in a custom speed and tap the "enter" key (as it's the most intuitive way to exit the keyboard input field) the whole route is reset. The workaround would be to type in the custom speed and then tap outside the keyboard window to make sure the route is kept. However this is not at all intuitive...
