I hate it too. Please cancel this new design.
Windy used to have a refined and discreet design with a maximum space to display map. Now all icons are exaggerated and grey (Let's not talk of the terribly big and red menu button) and look agressive ( pin icon).
Map sample images in the menu take too much space and are useless. Do you think that we pick the map based on the picture like a dessert in a restaurant?
The practical filtering option at the top is strangely very tiny.

When exiting the weather forecast of one city, the map content (radar image in my case) is also removed and I am facing an empty map.

When selecting a city from the search result, the map is too zoomed now!

The grey band at the top when clicking on a point of the map is taking too much space and is less practical and very ugly.

I do not understand how this amount of bad decisions was made. It seems like a systematic effort to degrade something that was working well and looking well.

Please cancel this design inspired by windows 95.
