I am a sailor and used to know at what wind speed I should reef or stay at home. But I would really like to be able to see in the forcast two more parameters.

      1. Wind load (Newton or kg/m2) as a meassure of how much force the wind produces. This increases with the wind to the second power.
      2. Wind power (watts per square meter) this increases with the wind to the third power.
Dencity of air is needed in the formula and dencity varies with preassure, temperature anf humidity - but you got all data availavle to calculate the two new data parameters.

@madsroesen Thank you for both suggestions, I will forward this to colleagues for consideration. However, we don't have any plans for implementation of this.
