Help! I got Windy premium but somehow it doesn't affect my account
-
I bought Windy Premium on the app, however I miss some of the functionality from the website. So I signed in with my account on the website but it doesn't show my premium account. What am I doing wrong?

@Sebastian-Böttger
Did you sign in on the website with the exact same account credentials you use on your phone? Email and password. -
@idefix37
Hello,yes, I used in both cases my Google Account to log in (the same as here).

@Sebastian-Böttger
Hope you get some help tomorrow. -
@Sebastian-Böttger I checked your account under your gmail login and there is no Premium assigned to this account. Can you please let us know, which service did you use for the purchase of the Premium (Google Play, Fastspring in browser or AppStore)?

@Ondřej-Šutera
Hello Ondrej, I used the Google Play store. I also tried to restore the purchase, but the template starts with WINDY, mine however starts with GPA: GPA.3356-ZZZZ-XXXX-82863 (I used Z and X to anonymize it) -
@Sebastian-Böttger If you use Google Play, you need to handle the restoring process on that device, where you made the purchase.
-
@Ondřej-Šutera well, that doesn't work. There is no "restore this account" or something similar. When I log out, I can simply log in using the Google Login.
So, just to make things clear: I bought it on Google Play and want to log in with my Google eMail-Address (the same I used on the Google Play Store) on Windy browser web page. Is that possible at all?
-
@Sebastian-Böttger Okay, if you made a purchase via Google Play, you need to restore the purchase on your Android device, where you are logged in with the same account in Google Play. In general:
- Open the Windy.com app and log in with your account
- Open the subscription offer and click on “restore purchases.”
This action should assign the Premium to your account, and you can use it across your devices.

@Ondřej-Šutera I just found out I bought the other Windy app. Crap. I am trying to get the money back, but it's more than two weeks now.
Who had that great idea of giving two similar services the same name?? -
@Sebastian-Böttger I am sorry about that situation, we are trying to separate from them, but it is difficult and you are not the only user who made this mistake.
