Just go back to the old UI please!

Dear Windy team, please revert back to the old ui, or give an option to change to the old ui.
I'm more than happy with the old ui, that was just perfect

@diablo6006 Unfortunately, this is not planned right now, however, you can check the latest article about the new interface and how to work with it.

Windy, that's not an answer. We and hundreds of other people don't want the new interface. There's so many annoyances it would take an hour to list them, but for me the biggest problem is now to look at the wind direction and speed I have to take my eyes off the location picker( in the old app it was a little Dot with a flag that displayed the direction and speed) and look way up to the left on this ugly gray bar that obscures part of the map. That is way harder to use than having the wind direction and speed displayed right next to the white dot on the map that indicates your location focus.
Get it through your head that we don't like the new user interface. Many of us, myself included, have taken to having to find the older APK and install it on our Android phones. That option is not available for people on iPhones they're stuck with the new horrible interface.
Instead of wasting your coding time breaking a perfectly usable interface, why don't you fix all the bugs that we've been reporting for years that you never get around to fixing. Like the inability to tap a paragliding spot and bring up the details. Like the fact that in the air grams, as you scroll to the right, you can no longer see the pressure altitude indicators so you have no idea which altitude you're looking at after you've scrolled to the right.
I've been a premium user for 6 years. You need to pay attention to your paying user base and quit coding for people that just want to see if it's going to rain on their picnic.

If a return to the old UI or an option to do so in the iOS app is not planned by the developers, I will not be renewing my subscription. It’s that simple.
It’s nonsense that zooming in or out changes the position of the picker or that the weather picker has to rely on an unintuitive, imprecise method of selection instead of tapping the desired location. If I had known you were going to change the app in this way, I would not have paid for a subscription. Given how clunky the app’s UI is, I’ve already increasingly turned other sources with the models I tend to use anyway.
Very disappointing that you have chosen intransigence in the face of constructive criticism.

Sorry, but the new UI sucks.
Just start a survey to find out what other people think. -
Just canceled my subscription.

I came in with the new UI but I like it. One new thing I love is the webcam previews option. I like to be able to see all the cams at a glance as well as the option to turn it off.

@joheisenberg Since I canceled the premium subscription, I feel much better with the new update and all the new bugs. It's sad nonetheless.

@hythlodaeus Windy functionality for planning my time swimming in ocean currents affected regions is also drastically and unambiguously wrecked. Windy is acting with utter disrespect by splitting chart information that must be contiguous for viewing, visually scanning and mentally planning i to multiple screens with different type fonts some of which I find painful to read even with reading glasses. They are unapologetic, unhelpful and apparently incompetent to improve and learn from mistakes. I have written detailed reports with screenshots. Cancelled my premium subscription and pissed off that i have supported with money and recommended this app to others who also need to make safe plans

As an IT pro I got into the habit of backing up apps in the Froyo days and keep a repository that I can draw on in case app updates totally ruin the UI/UX.
Like you, reinstalling the last pre-"Brand New UX" solved all my frustrations, the only drama is needing to cancel future updates each time I manually update apps which is fine because it doesn't happen often.
I doubt if the devs will listen and revert to the previous UI (too humiliating).
It's interesting to see how many people are cancelling their subscriptions because of this complete screw-up. Oh well ...

Really not getting along with this new version. Use it for sailing and passage planning. The worst part is the pointer keeps disapearing as you forward in time or change medium. This is hopeless. Please, please, can you make the old version still availible? It worked perfect for me. This new one is for children. If you don't i will have to change app.Thanks.

Concerning the picker, you can change its display duration in Settings:
