New version is terrible

Have you read my post just above yours ?

@idefix37 Yes, I've seen it. Thank you for your explanation. As a beginner, I still have a few questions that I'm not clear about, so I'd like to ask: 1. I've looked at many models, and Windy's resolution is already considered very high, especially since it's free. However, I noticed that Meteoblue's model resolution is not as high as the EC model. Will this affect the accuracy of mountain forecasts? 2. Do you have any knowledge about Meteoblue's Point+ feature? If I want to measure the snow depth at a certain pass, can it display the data accurately enough for reference? It doesn't have to be completely accurate, just within a reasonable range of error.

- The Meteoblue model has no resolution because it is a non-mesh model. It uses several models with different resolutions and takes the closest grid point from each model. Then it makes a correction with the actual elevation of the location and includes AI processing.
- I have never used their Point + version, so I cannot tell you if it is accurate for snow depth at the passes.

WHERE THE F IS THE WIND ALTITUDE SLIDER: its f'N GONE !
Refreshed (using Brave/chrome) and selected Wind.. nowhere to be found.
Ridiculous!

@twominute000 🔛✈ It´s not available in all layers. Maybe You have chosen gusts instead of wind?

New version is terrible. How do I revert to previous version?
I want to mark a spot and see the wind patterns. I do not want a table instead. I need to keep moving the forecast spot. Much easier on old version.Hi,
I’m also encountering the same frustration with the new version. The older version made it so much easier to mark a spot and quickly view the wind patterns without dealing with tables or repeatedly moving the forecast spot.
If anyone knows how to revert to the previous version or has suggestions for a workaround, please share!

@joeroot6543 Hi, do you talk about the change of UI since the last year or any new updates?
-
@Suty I think he means crosshair vs picker in mobile app.
-
Before the new version, in the iOS app on iPhone but not on iPad, to select a location you had to touch the screen anywhere. The picker appeared in the top third of the screen as a flag in a fixed position and it was necessary to move the map under the picker to get the parameter value on the location.
I had heard from someone of the Windy team, that a fixed position of the picker was better because a big fingertip is not able to select precisely a location on a small screen. And by this way it was possible to hold your phone in one hand and to touch and scroll the map and timeline with only the thumb ! Try it, it works.
But I would like to know how many users do it like that. In any case this is not possible with a tablet which now use the same app as the phone. -
@mega888apkori
The main advantage of the new weather picker (crosshairs) is to allow now to tap and select easily POIs like Weather stations, Favorites, Airports, Webcams, Spots of surf, paragliding, kite, Active fires, etc…There is no longer a risk of selecting any location.
