Visualisation on ball surface

Would be great if the information is shown on surface of a ball if you zoom out.
Flat projection is fine for smaller regions but for a more global view, the projection to a balls surface would be much more convenient.
Polar regions would be shown much better and better understandable. An example would be google earth view possibilities.

This feature is available on the browser version but not in the mobile app.
