Hurricane Hilary has quickly moved to a Category 4 on the Saffi-Simpson scale and continues to track towards northern Baja California and southern California. Tropical Storm Hilary is forming in an unlikely location and could reach hurricane Category 3 (based on NHC-EP) at its peak on the weekend, bringing heavy rains, winds, and swells to the Baja California coast and possibly Southern California.

In the Windy Hurricane Tracker, you can see 3 different forecasts that differ significantly in hurricane/storm strength so far. The NHC, the ECMWF, and the UK Met Office will continue to refine their forecasts. We will also keep you informed of forecast changes here.

        Hi,
why is the track forecast by ECMWF not displayed for Hillary? It is usually shown for other tropical cyclones and I guess this forecast is available worldwide.
There are only the prediction by NHC east pacific and by UK model.

          Hi @idefix37

we haven't received the data from ECMWF yet, but it should be there at any minute.

UPDATE: Any minute indeed, we got it. The Hurricane Tracker updated.
